Who we are

DevFormat AI ("we", "us") is a free suite of browser-based developer tools operated by Sanka Ventures, a business based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what data is and is not processed when you use this website, and your rights under UK GDPR.

The short version

The code and text you paste into our tools is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. All formatting, minification and validation runs locally in your browser. We do not have servers that receive your content, and we could not read it even if we wanted to. The only data processing on this site relates to advertising and basic analytics, described below.

Data you paste into the tools

Content entered into the input panels is processed entirely by JavaScript running on your device. It is not uploaded, logged, stored, or shared. It exists only in your browser's memory and is discarded when you clear the input or close the page. Files loaded via upload or drag-and-drop are read locally by your browser using the FileReader API and are likewise never transmitted.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This website is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, which may be personalised based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for the operation of the tools themselves — they require none. Cookies on this site originate from advertising (Google AdSense, described above) and, where enabled, privacy-respecting aggregate analytics used to understand overall traffic. No cookie we control contains content you enter into the tools.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and capacity purposes. These logs relate to page requests only — they never contain tool input — and are retained briefly before automatic deletion.

Third-party fonts

This site loads the Space Grotesk typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which involves transmission of your IP address to Google. The site remains fully functional if these requests are blocked.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Because we do not collect or store personal data about you through the tools, most data-subject requests will have nothing to act upon. You nonetheless have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing of any personal data we hold, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Children

This site provides developer utilities and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be visible on this page.
